Your First Visit

Hi, I am Dr. Lewis.  When you see me at the office I will be wearing my mask.

When you come to visit me for the first time, we will do four things.

 

First, one of my helpers will brush your teeth with a toothbrush specially made to polish teeth extra bright.

 

Next, we will take a picture of your teeth with our big camera.  The pictures are called x-rays.  We use these pictures to see if you have any cavities. Cavities are holes in your teeth and if we don't fix them they can cause your teeth to hurt. We will give you a copy of the pictures of your teeth to take home.

 

After your picture is taken, I will count all your teeth and make sure they are all healthy. 

Finally, my helper will give you some tasty fluoride to make your teeth strong and help them fight cavities.

 

And, that’s it! Simple!

 

I can’t wait to meet you at your appointment.

 

Oh, I forgot the best part.  All our patients get a prize from our treasure chest when they are finished.
